Overview

FICRA was conceived as a future-facing platform connecting a training school, a materials lab, and real renovation and build projects. The ambition was to speak to a new generation of builders and innovators by reframing construction as a modern, high-impact field shaped by sustainability, craftsmanship, and emerging technology.

The Challenge

Construction is often perceived as traditional and low-status compared to “modern” white-collar paths, especially as AI shifts the value of knowledge work. FICRA needed to overturn that perception and present construction as a frontier of innovation, without feeling corporate, generic, or overly technical. The brand had to feel credible to industry, inspiring to youth, and culturally relevant in how it communicates.

The Solution

A positioning and narrative framework was developed to establish FICRA as a platform that bridges craft and progress, education and real-world outcomes, material science and sustainable building. The brand voice and messaging were designed to shift the conversation from labour to innovation, making hands-on work feel intelligent, purposeful, and future-ready. Visually, the identity system was built to feel modern and scalable, supporting multiple sub-initiatives within one ecosystem, from education to research to on-site projects. A flexible brand structure and clear design language ensured the platform could expand without losing coherence, while maintaining an aspirational tone that attracts both partners and the next generation of talent.
