The Challenge

The challenge was to create a brand that felt unmistakably Japanese in spirit without relying on clichés. Ramen Otaku wanted to stand apart in Mallorca’s dining scene, expressing dedication to craft and detail while connecting with a younger, trend-aware audience.

The Solution

I developed an identity that balanced sleek minimalism with rustic textures to capture both warmth and precision. The brand language drew from Japanese culture while staying contemporary, with a visual system that translated across menus, signage, packaging, and digital platforms. The result was a design that embodied “otaku”, obsession, through detail and consistency.

The Result

The brand launch established Ramen Otaku as one of the most distinctive dining experiences in Mallorca. The identity generated strong word-of-mouth and online engagement, helping the restaurant quickly attract a loyal following of both locals and tourists. Its authentic positioning and clear design system gave it staying power in a competitive market.
